Sen. Lindsey Graham was the Highlight of the Kavanaugh Hearings

“Boy you want power, God I hope you never get it.”

Senator Lindsey Graham sternly and rightly called out the unfair and disgraceful actions of the Democrats in the Kavanaugh hearing process.

Graham rightly teared into and accused the Democrats of being obstructionists and stated that if they wanted an FBI investigation, they could have come to the Republicans. “What you want to do is destroy this guys life, hold this seat open, and hope you win in 2020. You [the Democrats] said that. Not me.”

Regarding the smears and attacks against Kavanaugh and his family, Graham stated, “I cannot imagine what you and your family have gone through” and that Dr. Blasey Ford is “as much a victim as you are”.

Graham is completely right here, as this entire debacle could've been avoided if Sen. Feinstein did not hold this information for 6 weeks, saying absolutely nothing during that time. She had countless opportunities throughout the summer and during both the closed and open Judiciary hearings.

Dropping this allegation the day before a confirmation hearing is nothing but partisan, forced Dr. Ford to come out of anonymity, and caused the hearings to become delayed. “I hope the American people can see through this sham”, Graham stated.

Sen. Graham is also completely right in that this new partisan process “is going to destroy the ability of good people to come forward because of this crap.” Good, qualified, and moral people will (for obvious reasons) not want to run for public office, especially if there is a high chance of their entire career being ruined by a false and uncorroborated accusation. “You’re looking for a fair process? You came to the wrong town at the wrong time my friend”, Graham later said.

Sen. Graham was also on the Sean Hannity’s show later Thursday evening, correctly expressing his disappointment in the partisan actions of the Democrats: “This is not about finding the truth between Dr. Ford and Brett Kavanaugh, it's about delaying the hearing to get past the midterms [and] hope they pick up the Senate and denying this seat [which would have been] filled by Donald Trump.”
