Anti-Americanism Is Running Rampant and It Is Our Duty to Thwart It

After the deeply troubling and reprehensible killing of George Floyd, a black man at the knee of a white police officer in Minnesota; protests, and then riots, erupted across the country— and even across the globe.

A disgusting ideology is now manifesting itself as a response to this incident— Anti-Americanism. This is an ideology which has been quietly growing in our culture, and it is now out in the open. It must be addressed, condemned, and thwarted for the good of all.

The anti-American movement is now using the killing of Mr. Floyd as a political cudgel to wage war against the United States and our virtuous founding values. Mr. Floyd has unfortunately become a martyr for those who are looking at an excuse to riot, wage war against police, and write off America as inherently bad and racist. Nothing can be farther from the truth.

We have prominent groups in this country, such as the ‘Black Lives Matter’ organization, calling for the abolition and defunding of police across this country. We have sitting United States Representatives calling for the abolition of police. The duty of the federal government is to protect our God-given rights of life, liberty, and property.

Defunding police is one of the most reckless, anti-American, and stupid policy proposals ever suggested. It would be a blatant dereliction of duty if this idea were even given a second thought. It’s simply dumb. If you do not want to sleep with your doors open, then do not push for this unconstitutional and anarchist policy.

Calling to defund the police means the end of America as we know it. Mark my words, clearly and concisely.

Look out for rationales to abolish police masked as seemingly benevolent statements such as “no— we don’t actually want to abolish police; we just want to reform it”. If they actually wanted to reform police organizations— they would state actual laws that they believe need to change, not advocate to upend the entire system.

Those calling for this reckless idea must be voted out from office and prevented from gaining any sort of future power in this country. We are the United States of America— the land of the free because of our brave men and women in uniform, past and present.

The radical left, who is slowly becoming mainstream, preach falsely that all white people are 'inherently racist'. These radicals claim that whites in this country are racist 'without even knowing it'. This revolting doctrine is manifested in cultish actions seen across American cities in the last few days.

A plethora of videos are circulating online showing white people on both knees and some sitting on the ground, expressing sorrow for their so-called racism. Some videos even show whites washing the feet of black protestors. Another video shows how a black man coerced a white woman into kneeling before him. First of all, no American should ever kneel to another person. You only kneel to God out of reverence— period.

These brainwashed people are mindlessly repeating, in a manner relating to a cult, leftist doctrines about how America, and white people as a whole, are inherently racist. Again, nothing can be farther from the truth.

Why is this happening? Why are we seeing such a downfall in our social fabric? Hoover Institution Fellow Shelby Steele calls it “white guilt”. He describes it as the fear of whites being labeled and stigmatized as a racist. In other words, some whites get coerced into kneeling before blacks, supporting reparations, and backing any other leftist policy out of the fear that they will be labeled a racist should they oppose such ideas.

What is the problem in all of this? It is doubtful that the majority of the whites kneeling are racists; and it is doubtful that those blacks (they were kneeling before) are actually oppressed in America today.

We all need to take a step back, breathe deeply, and focus on the issues at hand. Let’s talk about— at the local level— actual policies we can implement or change to better serve our fellow citizens.
